Apache Fry Bread

Ingredients

4 cups of fine Flour (Blue Bird is best.)

1 handful of Sea Salt

1 handful of Baking Powder

1 handful of dried Milk

3 cups of hot Water

Method

Mix dried ingredients in a large bowl.

Add water, mixing with a spoon until dough is shaggy and pulling from the bowl.

Knead until the dough is smooth. Add flour or water as needed.

Let the dough rest, covered, 30 minutes.

Separate and flatten.

Fry on both sides until golden brown. Press down air bubbles.

Drain oil from each bread.

Notes

These are best fried in mixed lard and peanut oil.
